FAQ Who is Happy Endings Animal Rescue (& sanctuary)? Happy Endings Animal Rescue is a nonprofit shelterless all-breed rescue group headquartered in Pinedale Wyoming. Our group is comprised of volunteers who love dogs and cats and want to help those that end up homeless through no fault of their own. We are incorporated in the State of Wyoming, established as a 501 ( c ) (3) nonprofit organization with the Internal Revenue Service. Our EIN number is 74-3231075. Can we visit your shelter ? No. Happy Endings Animal Rescue is a shelterless rescue organization so we have no building. Our pets live in private foster homes until adopted, and our volunteers work from their homes. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat the first step is to complete and submit an adoption questionaire. Can we reach you by phone? Yes. You can call Sue at 360-7800, Terry at 367-6622, Karen at 360-7195, Robena at 231-1196 or Melanie at 303-229-0247. Where do your animals come from? Loyal and loving pets turn up every day in the Town AnimalShelter, at one of the veterarian offices as owners turn them in or they'r found roaming the streets after being dumped. Happy Endings also works with owners who have contacted us because they can no longer keep their pet. When we can arrange to have an animal fostered, we will take them from the shelters. To the best of our abilities, we evaluate the temperament and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. An animals health is checked and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and are spayed or neutered. Then, we place them in loving foster homes until a compatible home is found. Our goal is to meet the needs of each animal as an individual and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home. What is the process to adopt a dog or cat through Happy Endings Animal Rescue? We emphasize matching the right dog or cat to the right family so that all will have many happy years together. Completing and submitting our adoption questionnaire is the first step and the fastest way to begin the adoption process. The process is reasonably fast, so you should submit a questionnaire for a dog when you are ready to welcome a new pet into your home. What is the adoption fee? The standard adoption fee is $100 for dogs and $75 cats. The adoption fee seems high. What does it cover? Happy Endings Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer animal rescue organization. We are not funded or subsidized by any state or federal agency. Our operation operates solely on the adoption fees we collect and the donations we receive from caring people like you. There are many costs involved in running the rescue, the very least of which includes veterinary care, transportation, and food, kennel care, rent for the required quarantine space if needed and associated utilities. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on their vaccinations, If for some reason, an adoption does not work out within the first 2 weeks, and an animal is returned, the adoption fee is refunded. While we will always take an animal back, we ask that adopters work with us, as we must find another foster family for the animal. Can I volunteer for Happy Endings Animal Rescue? Yes! Happy Endings Animal Rescue is run solely by volunteers, and more help is always needed. There are many ways you can help: Fostering: As a shelter less rescue, we rely heavily on the generosity of people who are willing to open their homes and hearts to our dogs until they are adopted. As a foster home, your job is to love, care for, and feed a homeless or abandoned dog until she finds her own forever family. (Happy Endings will provide food and medical care). The approval process for our foster homes is the same as for adopters, so if you are interested in fostering, please complete and submit a foster parent application. Home Visits: A home visit is required for all our adopters. As a home visitor, your role is to be our eyes and ears and make sure the home would provide a safe, loving environment for one of our pets. A form is provided to you prior to each visit, so you know exactly what to look for and ask. Events Coordinator: We have a need for volunteers to help plan events for Happy Endings. This role requires imagination and ingenuity. Generally, you would manage the event (s) from start to finish. Foster Home Coordinator: We need helping finding foster homes for our cats and dogs that are coming. Driver:
Occasionally we need people to help our dogs get from one location to
another. A valid driver's license, car, a crate (depending on the dog),
and a desire to help are all you need! If you are interested in doing home visits,
adoption coordination, foster home coordination, or transporting dogs,
kindly complete and submit the
Foster Parent Application
Social Media:
We would like to
reach out to the community using social media (newsletters, face book,
etc.). If you are computer
savvy we have ideas and would love to have a computer person help us
out!

donation? Yes! All donations go directly to the animals and every little bit helps (and your donation is tax deductible). Your financial donation will help us to rescue and vet animals in need Can donate by mailing a check to our
